The Biostatistics module introduces students to the fundamental statistical methods used in biological, agricultural, and veterinary sciences. It covers descriptive statistics (types of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, graphs), inferential statistics (hypotheses, distributions, t-test, ANOVA, and non-parametric tests such as Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon), correlation and regression analysis, and basic principles of experimental design.
By the end of the module, students will be able to analyze biological data, select appropriate statistical tests, interpret results, and use statistical software to support scientific decision-making.
