
This course presents the mechanisms of digestion and metabolism in domestic animals. It covers the different stages of digestion in monogastric animals, ruminants, and poultry, including fermentative processes, nutrient absorption and utilization, and the regulation of carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism. The course also addresses nutritional requirements, vitamins, minerals, feed additives, and the factors affecting feed and water intake, with a focus on animal nutrition and production.
